Yarn Bombing: Needlepoint Medallions!

Last Saturday was International Yarn Bombing day. Yarn bombing is typically when people knit or crochet pieces to add color to a public space. I just recently learned how to knit and didn't feel like my skills were up the challenge of creating something fun for IYBD, so I ended up needlepointing little canvases and zip-tying them up around downtown Sunnyvale and the Caltrain station. I chose to do it this Saturday morning (5am!) so that they would be up for the farmer's market later that morning.

Here are some of my favorite images.
