I’m not a huge Valentine’s Day person – don’t really celebrate it and I also don’t buy into the hype. But I do think it’s fun to use the holiday as an excuse to make care packages and gifts for the people I care about, just to let them know that I’m thinking of them. This year, my training for the Tough Mudder is detracting from my crafting time, so I kept my presents small. I got the idea for matchbox valentines from Pinterest – specifically this link.
I love matchbooks. I decorated these with my stash of handmade paper and filled them with M&Ms and sweettart conversation hearts. I wanted to finish them off by tying them with string like the original post, but couldn’t find the right type, so I left them as is.
I also made some garlands (a la this Pinterest link… it was a very pinny valentines!) from felt hearts. You can see one of the hearts up on the top left corner, but I didn’t get a picture of the garlands before I mailed them away.
To all my Valentines – I love you! Thanks for being in my life. 🙂
